This is much easier, faster and more accurate that disassembling the prop preening a little bit lead down hole in light blade. With the bottom pin moved back, sprocket can be screwed in or out a bit, and clamp re positioned up against to give an adjustment weight balance of either blade. There aren very many d-1093s around, because production numbers were much lower. The other Mccauley prop which is approved for stearman d-1093, known as navy hub blades included.

The ss-135-6m and ss d-1093, not included, has balancing sprockets on each end of hub. The movement of clamp and its bolt in or out allows a vernier adjustment horizontal balance. This is also known as the army hub.

But they are a great propeller. Paperwork included. These sprockets are screwed onto the hub and held in position by pin at bottom of clamp. The d-1093 is approved for two different steel blades.

The pin goes into one of depressions on sprocket.
